Farmall Utility 120A Specs
The 120A delivers 117 engine horsepower and 99 PTO horsepower. It comes with a cab, 4WD, an electronic power shuttle transmission and Stage V emissions compliance. The L625 loader is designed for medium utility A series tractors, and service runs on a 600-hour interval.
Ninety-nine PTO horsepower is the headline. That’s the number that decides whether you can run a bigger baler, a wider mower conditioner or a heavier rotary cutter without the tractor lugging down at the end of a windrow. Farmall 120A Vs 100A: How To Decide
These are the two medium utility A models we keep on the lot, and the difference is easy to summarize. The Farmall 100A runs 101 engine HP and 85 PTO HP, and it’s the right call for mixed chores and moderate hay acreage. The Farmall 120A runs 117 engine HP and 99 PTO HP, and it’s built for heavier hay equipment, more acres and more hours in the seat.
Roughly 14 extra PTO horsepower is the whole decision. If your hay equipment is already sized close to the limit of an 85 PTO HP tractor, or you plan to add acres or upgrade implements in the next few years, buy the 120A. If your implement lineup is settled and moderate, the 100A saves you money without costing you work.
Engine, Emissions And Upkeep
Same proven foundation as the rest of the family: a turbocharged, electronically controlled engine with a rugged tunnel block design and Common Rail Direct Injection, plus the maintenance-free Hi-eSCR2 emissions system packaged entirely under the hood. Nothing hanging off the side of the machine.
Service comes due every 600 hours. The single-piece hood, ground- and platform-level fueling options, and the ability to check and fill engine oil without opening the hood keep daily checks to a couple of minutes.

A 12×12 power shuttle covers most operations, coverage up to 20×20 is available, and an optional creeper takes you down to 6 feet per minute. Road speed tops out at 24 mph for hauling between fields.
