The Model Lineup
The medium utility A family lands in the 97 to 120 engine horsepower range. The Farmall Utility 90A runs up to 90 HP, the 95A up to 97 HP, the 100A at 101 engine HP, the 105A at 112 engine HP, the 110A up to 110 HP, the 115A at 120 engine HP at 2,300 ERPM, and the 120A at 117 engine HP.
PTO horsepower is the number that actually matters when you’re sizing a baler or a rotary cutter, and it’s where the lineup separates. The 100A delivers 85 PTO HP, the 105A delivers 92 PTO HP, and the 120A tops out at 99 PTO HP.
The Two Models We Have In Stock Right Now
If you’re shopping this fall, these are the two to look at first:
- Case IH Farmall 100A — 101 engine HP, 85 PTO HP, cab, 4WD and an electronic power shuttle. This is the value pick for a mixed operation: hay, cattle chores, loader work and pasture mowing without paying for capability you won’t use.
- Case IH Farmall 120A Tractor — 117 engine HP, 99 PTO HP, cab, 4WD and an electronic power shuttle. The one to buy if your hay equipment is on the heavier side, your acreage is growing, or the tractor runs most of the day.
Roughly 14 extra PTO horsepower separates them. That’s the whole decision in one sentence: if your implements already push an 85 PTO HP tractor, go 120A. If they don’t, the 100A saves you money without costing you work.
Engine And Emissions Built To Be Left Alone
Under the hood is a turbocharged, electronically controlled engine with a rugged tunnel block design and Common Rail Direct Injection. The Hi-eSCR2 emissions system is maintenance-free and packaged entirely under the hood, so you don’t lose visibility to a bolt-on box hanging off the side.
Service runs on a 600-hour interval. The single-piece hood, ground- and platform-level fueling options, and the ability to check and fill engine oil without opening the hood all add up to less time doing maintenance and more time cutting hay.
Loader Work Is Where This Tractor Earns Its Keep
The Class 1.0 HD front axle is the headline here — more durability and more load-carrying capability, which translates to increased loader stability when you’ve got a round bale up high. The L625 loader is designed for Farmall Medium Utility A Series tractors, and the combination handles bale stacking, material handling, manure cleanup, round bale feeding and daily chore-yard loader work.

The Power Shuttle Transmission
Simple, durable, smooth gear engagement, straightforward controls. The 12×12 power shuttle lets you move between forward and reverse without stopping — which is the whole game for repetitive loader cycles and tight chore-yard work. Top speed reaches 24 mph for road transport between fields.
Need more range? Coverage is available up to 20×20, and an available creeper drops you to 6 feet per minute for specialty planting, transplanting or any job where slow and steady wins.
